Well, better late then never. Happy Forth of July. To celebrate, here are some photos of arms and amour I took at the Frazier. This is just a small sample of the 193 Photos I took. Not all came out as I could not use a flash. Some were blurred because I could not hold steady enough for the slow shutter speeds that resulted. But enough came out to be a great resource for me in the future.

The Royal Armouries portion of the collection is far larger then the web site or these photos would lead you to believe. Cases and cases of great stuff for the SCA time period.

As well as pieces from later periods of British conflict.

And the Frazier Collections have many exciting pieces from the American story.

The lighting may not have been conductive to photography. But it was very conductive to viewing. Everything was well displayed and documented in both collections. The historical presentations were entertaining and informative. If you are visiting Kentucky this is a must see museum.

Yeah, you know you are a history junkie when the first thing you do if presented with the chance of a trip is to look up museums, etc. to visit there or on the way...
